Summer-Browning Associates are currently supporting our client within the central government, who are seeking a Commercial Manager on an initial 6 month assignment.

Location: London (hybrid)

About the role:
You will be responsible for assessing the existing Commercial landscape and reviewing the impact on programme delivery, leading on Supplier integration with regards to relationship and cost impact. Able to clarify the ability to terminate current contracts, working with programme finance leads to understand impact and realisation of any potential benefits. Capable of renegotiating existing contracts. Manage the impact of existing Commercial financial models. Act as the primary point of contact between the incumbent Suppliers and the department.

The ideal candidate will hold active SC clearance and possess a proven background in interpretation, along with the following qualifications:

  • Experience of end to end public procurement experience, including public procurement rules & regulations (PCR 2015, UCR 2016, & PA23)
  • Strong knowledge of DDaT procurements.
  • Experienced procuring on core gov frameworks
  • MCIPS/CIPS qualified
  • Experience of utilising E-procurement tools such as Jaggaer
  • Experience of selecting procurement routes to market
  • Knowledge of AI procurements (Desirable)
