This is a fantastic long term Lead Java Developer contract with an established London based tech company.

The Lead Java Developer contract is Hybrid with 3 days a week in the London office, remote the other 2.

The Lead Java Developer contract is Inside IR35 (so you must go through an umbrella company)

The Lead Java Developer will head up a Dev & Support Team working on greenfield as well as Legacy projects with the initial focus being on a enhancing an existing platform (including security) before transitioning to App support/BAU. Other projects as Java Lead Developer include replatforming and upgrades/migrations from Legacy systems (including a bit of C#) as well as greenfield REST API projects and implementing HATEOAS. Working closely with Archs and other Eng Leads you will design and develop future platforms with an API first approach. As Java Lead Developer solid commercial experience within HA production with large user bases (10k+) is essential with any fintech or banking (or similar) being preferred. Knowledge of Checkmarx, SonarQube or Artifactory or similar tools in relation to coding/security/packaging standards is required as Java Lead Developer. Previous experience as a hands on Lead Java Developer is essential (the current team is 4 Developers + some Support) Solid CI/CD and automating deployments is essential as Lead Java Developer as is in depth design knowledge, infra & security. Some C# knowledge is also required due to 3rd party/Legacy apps as Java Principal Developer. Solid team and stakeholder management is essential as Java Lead Developer as is the ability to communicate with business, infosec, infrastructure, arch teams etc
