Hiring: Automation Engineer - France, Paris- Hybrid, 12 months contract.

Global Enterprise Partners is currently looking for a Automation Engineer for a 12 month initial contract. The applicants should be located in Paris and have the flexibility and availability to travel on site in Saclay. The applicant should also have a valid setup to work as a contractor/freelancer and does not require Visa Sponsorship.

We are looking for a hands-on and analytical Automation Engineer to join our industrial engineering team in Paris. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in Siemens or Rockwell automation systems, who thrives in troubleshooting complex issues and optimising machine performance through code-level insights.

You will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and troubleshooting automation systems, with a focus on PLC programming, root cause analysis, and flexibility analysis. Your ability to connect directly with machine code and understand its impact on operations will be key to your success.

• Degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens or Rockwell platforms).
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (eg, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
• Proven experience in code-level diagnostics and system troubleshooting.
• Ability to work on-site regularly and respond to urgent technical issues.
