Finance System Owner | IT Finance Business Partner | Finance System Specialist | IT Finance Partner

You can be home based for this role with travel to the office once a month.

My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Finance Business Partner to join their esteemed team. This exceptional opportunity is ideal for a proactive and strategic individual who wishes to make a significant impact within the organisation. As an IT Finance Business Partner, you will play an integral role in providing a technical insight and analysis, supporting informed decision-making processes, and taking ownership of all finance systems.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a professional and collaborative approach, with proven experience in business partnering roles. They should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in financial software and the Microsoft Office Suite is essential. In this role, you will work closely with finance teams to interpret financial data and support accurate reporting and analysis.

Key responsibilities include resolving technical issues to maintain data integrity and system efficiency, integrations with other systems, developing and maintaining SQL queries to extract and manipulate data, and designing reports using SAP BusinessObjects. You will also contribute to system enhancements and upgrades in collaboration with IT and Finance departments, while ensuring clear documentation of processes and technical specifications. Consulting with the business on contract renewals and negotiations.

Skills sought:

  • Strong finance system experience
  • SQL skills
  • Experience in supporting, maintaining, system changes and enhancements of finance systems.
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
  • Good understanding of incident, problem, change and release management processes.
  • Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and end user procedures
  • BusinessObjects skills- Highly desirable but not essential
