User Researcher

We're partnering with a major UK government body on a strategic Discovery Phase to evaluate and shape the future of their internal data repository, governance, and delivery processes. This 8-9 week engagement will define their long-term data strategy, beginning with a detailed assessment of their current data landscape and culminating in actionable recommendations presented to senior leadership. We are urgently looking for a User Researcher.

Overview:
You'll lead research activities to understand internal user pain points, surface unmet needs, and highlight opportunities to improve how data is accessed, managed, and consumed across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct user interviews, workshops, and journey mapping sessions

• Identify pain points and opportunities in the current data ecosystem

• Produce research outputs to shape future-state recommendations

• Work closely with the BA and Architect to ensure user needs are central to design

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Strong track record delivering user research in public sector or regulated environments

• Able to work across both technical and non-technical user groups

• Skilled in facilitating discovery sessions and surfacing clear user insights

• Confident presenting findings to cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
