Privacy Analyst
Hybrid - (2 days a week onsite at client office in Barcelona, Spain)
6-month freelance/autonomo
Expertise
- Data Protection, Risk Management, Compliance
Ensuring compliance with Privacy by Design principles, managing privacy risks, and supporting data protection initiatives across the organisation's products and services. Your focus will be on data governance, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the organisation adheres to global data protection standards.
Deliverables
- Data Protection & Compliance:
- Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the organisation's privacy and data protection program.
- Conduct privacy risk assessments and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for the organisation's products, services, and third-party engagements.
- Ensure compliance with global data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable frameworks.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of data governance policies, ensuring robust audit trails and regulatory documentation.
- Risk Management & Monitoring:
- Track privacy risks, mitigation strategies, and compliance gaps, escalating concerns to the Data Privacy Technical Manager when necessary.
- Monitor and analyse privacy metrics, KPIs, and dashboard reporting to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Support privacy incident response and data breach reporting in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work cross-functionally with legal, IT, security, and business teams to ensure privacy requirements are effectively Embedded into operations.
- Act as a key liaison between the Global Privacy Office and technical teams, providing guidance on privacy-enhancing technologies and risk-based measures.
- Represent the organisation in discussions with internal stakeholders and the broader privacy community.
- Privacy Training & Awareness:
- Deliver privacy training and awareness programs, ensuring teams understand privacy risks and best practices.
- Promote Privacy by Design principles across business units to enhance data protection strategies.
Experience
- Strong understanding of global data protection laws (eg, GDPR, CCPA, ePrivacy Directive).
- Hands-on experience with OneTrust, PowerBI, and privacy-related dashboard creation & reporting.
