A leading Asset Management firm is seeking an experienced Principal Developer to join their technology team on an initial six-month contract. This is a key role that will support the delivery of strategic programmes by providing senior-level development leadership, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across infrastructure, architecture, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across development teams, acting as a point of coordination between infrastructure, architecture, and information security functions
• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships across cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery
• Lead the management, migration, and upgrading of Legacy systems to modern platforms
• Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
• Develop REST APIs from the ground up (greenfield), including the implementation of HATEOAS principles
• Work within a complex enterprise environment, contributing to best practices and high coding standards

Experience:

• Proven experience in a senior/principal development role within a large-scale enterprise environment
• Strong experience uniting multiple technical teams and fostering collaborative working practices
• Hands-on experience with Legacy system upgrades or migrations
• Proficient in typed languages, specifically Java and C#
• Expertise in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows
• Strong background in REST API development, ideally with greenfield builds and HATEOAS implementation
• FS experience is a must ideally Asset & Investment Management/Buy Side Technology
