Role- Stress Engineer (Automotive & F1 - Nacelle Systems)

Type- Contract (Inside IR35)

Location- Bristol, UK

Rate- 57 per hour

Nature- Hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote)

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in stress analysis within automotive, motorsport (F1), or aerospace sectors.
  • Strong understanding of fatigue life prediction and material behaviour under cyclic loading.
  • Familiarity with nacelle systems and non-turbo-machinery components.
  • Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) tools (eg, ANSYS, Abaqus).
  • Ability to perform hand calculations and validate FEA results.
  • Experience with critical part lifting methodologies.
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working with PW (Pratt & Whitney) and GE (General Electric) components or standards.
  • Knowledge of material science and new material development processes.
  • Familiarity with aerospace certification standards and stress reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part time role.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally between sites if needed.
