Hiring: IT Infrastructure Sr Manager - Spain, Madrid- Hybrid, 12 months contract.

Global Enterprise Partners is currently looking for a IT Infrastructure Sr Manager for a 12 month initial contract. The applicants should be located in Spain and have the flexibility and availability to travel on site in Madrid. The applicant should also have a valid setup to work as a contractor/freelancer and does not require Visa Sponsorship.

Main Responsibilities:

• Leading and mentoring technical leads and offshore teams within a managed services model.
• Making strategic decisions on server compute, vitalisation, database, and backup architecture.
• Managing on-premise compute and storage infrastructure at manufacturing plants and regional offices.
• Creating and managing budgets, cost estimates, and schedules for both ongoing operations and new projects.
• Evaluating emerging technologies and setting global infrastructure standards.
• Driving disaster recovery and business continuity planning for compute infrastructure.
• Overseeing the full life cycle of compute infrastructure, including planning for hardware refreshes.
• Ensuring outsourced IT services meet performance and quality expectations.
• Coordinating global infrastructure projects across multiple regions.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years in IT infrastructure, with at least 4 years leading teams and projects.
• Certifications in Microsoft, Nutanix, Linux, or Cloud technologies are a big plus.
• Deep technical knowledge of Nutanix HCI, Lenovo Servers, VMware, and QNAP storage.
• Experience working with managed service providers.
• Strong background in Active Directory (ADUC, DNS, DHCP, DFS, GPO, ADFS, etc.).
• Proficiency in Windows and Unix/Linux server environments, both on-prem and in the cloud.
• Experience supporting a global, remote workforce.
• Previous experience with SQL, Oracle, and MySQL databases.
• Past projects experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform, especially in hybrid and SaaS environments.
