System Software Engineer - Performance & Power Optimization

Are you passionate about Embedded systems and pushing the limits of performance and power efficiency? We are looking for an experienced System Software Engineer to join our team and drive innovations in Linux/Android system software optimization.
About the RoleAs a key contributor to our engineering team, you'll be focused on optimizing Embedded Linux/Android systems, working closely with early silicon bring-up and new board development. You'll conduct deep system-level analysis, design experiments, and implement tuning strategies to achieve optimal efficiency and performance.
This is a hands-on role that combines software engineering with system-level problem solving and performance testing.
ResponsibilitiesConduct in-depth analysis and tuning of Linux/Android system software for performance and power efficiency.
Optimize CPU governor settings, battery usage, and software stack performance.
Support bring-up of new silicon and development boards with a focus on early diagnostics and optimization.
Measure and analyze system performance and power consumption across use cases.
Identify and address performance bottlenecks and power inefficiencies using architectural and software-level solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to implement and validate system-level enhancements.
? Required Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in system software engineering for Linux/Android Embedded systems.
Proven expertise in CPU governor tuning, battery optimization, and profiling techniques.
Experience with Embedded software development and new board bring-up.
Strong understanding of SoC architecture, frequency scaling, and power domains.
Proficiency in C++ and Python.
Extensive hands-on experience with the Android OS.
Strong analytical and debugging skills with a data-driven approach.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with validation, power, and electrical teams.
? Preferred Qualifications
Over 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience designing and running system parameter tuning and architectural experiments.
Familiarity with schematic reviews.
Experience in Android camera, audio, or graphics stack is a plus.
