Back up and Stoarge SME

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Backup and Storage Technical SME to support a critical programme for a central government client. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise across enterprise storage and backup platforms, particularly with Dell and Veritas technologies, and be confident working in a hybrid cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and configuration of enterprise storage solutions using Dell platforms, including:

  • Dell PowerStore

  • Dell Unity

  • Dell PowerScale/Isilon

  • Dell ECS

• Configure Dell SAN fabrics (Cisco-based).

• Create or contribute to low-level storage design and configuration documentation.

• Design and configure enterprise backup environments using Veritas NetBackup (preferably version 10.x).

• Knowledge of or experience with Veritas NetBackup Appliances or Data Domain.

• Understanding of Veritas Access or similar object storage platforms for long-term backups.

• Produce low-level design and configuration documentation for backup systems.

• Exposure to Azure Backup and hybrid backup architectures using NetBackup is desirable.

• Proven experience as an enterprise Storage and Backup SME.

• Recent hands-on expertise with Dell and Veritas technologies.

• Strong documentation skills for technical design and configuration.

• Active SC and NPPV3 Security Clearance (mandatory).
