Location: Hybrid working model with minimal on-site requirements
Salary: £65,000 - £80,000, commensurate with experience

About the Role

We are a dynamic software consultancy seeking a Web Development Team Lead to guide our dedicated team in delivering bespoke web applications. This role combines hands-on development with strategic leadership, offering the opportunity to influence both technical direction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client meetings, providing technical insights and building trust through clear communication.

  • Align technical solutions with client business objectives to drive value and ROI.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure effective collaboration among team members.

  • Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.

  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.

  • Utilize dedicated learning time to explore new technologies, including AI tools, assessing their potential value to our services.

Candidate Profile

  • Proficient in JavaScript, PHP, and React, with experience in developing large-scale, business-critical applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and oversee web development projects from inception to completion.

  • Proven experience in mentoring or leading technical teams.

  • Strong ability to explain technical concepts to clients and suggest improvements confidently.

  • Capable of managing multiple projects and clients effectively.

  • Familiarity with Git and experience working within Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.

  • Experience in a consultancy environment and familiarity with cloud technologies, especially AWS, is desirable.

Technical Environment

  • Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Tailwind CSS, Material UI, Redux, Redux Toolkit, Storybook

  • Testing & QA: Jest, Mocha, Chai, Cypress, ESLint, Prettier

  • Monitoring & Analytics: Sentry, LogRocket, Google Analytics, Amplitude

  • Design & Prototyping: Figma, Adobe XD, Zeplin
