Network Engineer - Telephony

Aberdeen, 3month contact, start ASAP, Inside IR35

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Network & Telephony Engineer with hands-on experience in networking, switch configuration, and telephony deployment-particularly with Microsoft Teams. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who can support customer tasks from configuring, and deploying the network infrastructure & unified communication solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proven experience in networking and switch configuration (eg, Cisco, Aruba, HP, etc.)
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN principles, routing, and switching
• Experience with Microsoft Teams telephony deployment and support
• Familiarity with SBCs (Session Border Controllers) and voice gateway configuration
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network Switches and related infrastructure
• Deploy and configure telephony systems, with a focus on Microsoft Teams Voice
• Ensure smooth rollout of network and voice solutions
• Monitor network performance and proactively resolve issues to minimise downtime
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
