Configuration & Asset Manager
The Configuration & Asset Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the processes and procedures related to the management of the CMDB and IT assets.
They ensure the quality, consistency, traceability, and compliance of configuration items (software, hardware, network components, etc.) throughout their life cycle.
Main responsibilities:
- Define (with the process owner), implement, and maintain configuration and asset management processes.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure a smooth and effective integration of configuration and asset management practices.
- Ensure the ongoing maintenance and control of configuration items and assets (hardware, software, network) within CFL.
- Create and maintain configuration and asset baselines, ensuring that all changes are properly documented and compliant with internal policies.
- Track all configuration items and assets throughout their life cycle to guarantee accuracy and consistency.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of the CMDB and Asset data to identify, document, and correct any discrepancies.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to teams on best practices and processes related to configuration and asset management.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations regarding configuration management.
Skills and Expertise:
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in IT configuration and asset management
In-depth knowledge of CMDB (eg, in ServiceNow)
In-depth knowledge of Asset Management (eg, in ServiceNow)
vCenter
Cisco DNA
MCEM
SQL
RedHat
Solaris
Azure Cloud
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
