What You'll Do:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management, internal control, and assurance framework.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues on risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the maintenance and reporting of Risk Registers, ensuring timely identification and evaluation of risks.
  • Oversee the Internal Controls Framework, connecting risk management with assurance activities.
  • Manage relationships with internal audit partners and oversee insurance arrangements.
  • Support the organisation in preparing for regulatory inspections.
  • Foster a customer-first culture and promote transparency and integrity throughout the team.

Who You Are:
You possess a relevant qualification and have proven experience in risk management and assurance frameworks. Your strong knowledge of the UK social housing sector requirements will be invaluable, as will your experience working with Audit and Risk Committees.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Expertise in developing risk management frameworks and internal controls.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in risk management software.
  • Experience in team leadership and stakeholder management.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and ethical governance.

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with the housing sector's regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in managing insurance arrangements and business continuity frameworks.
