Role Overview
The Application Support Administrator will play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting a suite of critical business applications. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to address technical needs, manage incidents, and contribute to projects that enhance operational efficiency.

This hybrid role requires attendance at the Milton Keynes office approximately three days per week during a three-month probation period, reducing to one day per week thereafter.

Key Responsibilities
Planning & Reporting

  • Respond promptly to urgent system issues.

  • Deliver consistently strong performance to support team objectives.

  • Manage assigned projects and contribute to broader team initiatives.

  • Provide insightful management information to senior stakeholders.

Technical

  • Offer front-line support for business applications.

  • Assist in the investigation, analysis, and prioritisation of incidents and service requests.

  • Carry out routine and ad-hoc system maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Maintain strong communication with support managers and key business users.

  • Develop knowledge of key market and broking systems.

  • Keep abreast of system enhancements and software changes.

  • Support testing processes for software upgrades and patches.

  • Collaborate effectively on team projects and individual tasks.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in a similar support or systems administration role.

  • Basic understanding of the insurance sector and ITIL principles is beneficial.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritise work and operate with minimal supervision.

  • Solid technical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
