Senior Stress Engineer for a full time role based in Switzerland. French is a Must for this role.

Must have expererience as Stress Engineer in Advanced Mechanical Structures aeronautical or aerospace industries.

Your Role:

As part of cutting-edge projects in the space sector, you will play a key role in the structural justification and optimization of components operating in extreme environments

Your Profile:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent).

  • At least 10 years of professional experience in a similar position within the space or a closely related industry.

  • Strong command of FEM tools, especially Nastran (mandatory); experience with FEMAP is a plus.

  • In-depth understanding of mechanical behavior of metallic and fiber-reinforced composite materials.

  • Proven experience in managing dynamic test campaigns (eg vibration, shock).

  • Familiarity with ECSS standards.

  • Fluent in both French and English (written and spoken), with the ability to clearly defend and communicate your technical choices.

  • You are autonomous, well-organized, analytical, and assertive in technical discussions.

Main responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer requirements based on technical specifications.

  • Perform structural analyses and sizing under static, dynamic, and thermal loads.

  • Carry out mechanical simulations including: static, modal, frequency response, shock, vibro-acoustic, and thermoelastic analyses.

  • Write technical reports and documentation throughout the project life cycle, including during vibration testing phases.

  • Participate in static and dynamic testing campaigns and ensure accurate correlation between FEM models and test results.

  • Take part in technical meetings with project teams and clients
