Technical Data Scientist

£50,000-£68,500 per annum

Hybrid role with 3 days per week in Burton-on-Trent office

Looking for a hands-on Technical Data Scientist to lead the data science roadmap and deliver high-impact, AI-driven solutions across the business. You'll design, deploy, and optimise predictive models, ML decision engines, and automation frameworks that deliver real commercial value.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and deliver the data science strategy aligned to business goals

Build and deploy scalable AI/ML models and decision engines

Implement MLOps best practices for robust, production-ready solutions

Champion ethical and responsible AI across all initiatives

Translate complex models into clear insights for stakeholders

Collaborate across teams to embed data science into core business processes

What You'll Bring:

Strong Python, SQL, and statistical modelling expertise

Deep knowledge of Databricks, Lakehouse architecture & cloud platforms

Proven experience delivering end-to-end data science projects

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Passion for ethical AI and data storytelling that drives action
