Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Planning Analyst to join our Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (ePMO). In this high-impact role, you will play a central part in shaping, supporting, and influencing change across the organisation. This is more than just a planning role - it's a key position that enables effective decision-making and organisational alignment at the enterprise level.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, programme and project managers, and business leaders to ensure the timely, coordinated, and transparent delivery of strategic initiatives. Your insight and analysis will directly influence how the organisation prioritises resources, plans delivery, and achieves transformation objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Planning Support:
    Develop, maintain, and optimise integrated planning tools, schedules, and timelines across portfolios and strategic programmes.

  • Portfolio Analysis & Reporting:
    Provide accurate and timely reporting, forecasting, and insights to support strategic decision-making at executive level.

  • Support Organisational Change:
    Work with the ePMO and business functions to identify opportunities for process improvement and embed best practice planning disciplines throughout the organisation.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Act as a trusted advisor to portfolio leads and business change managers, providing planning guidance and helping teams align their activities with strategic objectives.

  • Assurance & Governance:
    Ensure planning and delivery data aligns with enterprise governance frameworks and supports transparent reporting and performance tracking.

  • Scenario Planning & Risk Analysis:
    Support leadership with modelling of delivery scenarios and impact assessments to aid in proactive portfolio planning.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a planning, project controls, or PMO analyst role, ideally within a portfolio or enterprise-level setting

  • Strong understanding of programme/project planning principles, governance, and life cycle methodologies (eg, Agile, Waterfall, MSP, or Prince2)

  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear and actionable way

  • Advanced skills in MS Project, Excel, and/or planning tools such as Planisware, Primavera, or Power BI

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively

  • Experience supporting change management or transformation initiatives is highly desirable

Desirable Attributes:

  • Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset - able to connect operational delivery with big-picture objectives

  • A collaborative and consultative style, with a passion for driving continuous improvement

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders

  • Degree-qualified or holding relevant planning/PMO certifications is advantageous
