Head Chef
The Bird in Hand in North Curry, is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to take the lead in our kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a love for creating high-quality, locally sourced food in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Candidate Requirements:- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a similar setting
- Deep knowledge of British cuisine and seasonal ingredients
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
- A team player with a passion for cooking and customer satisfaction
- Must be able to commute this is a live-out role
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
- Plan, develop, and deliver seasonal menus using fresh, local ingredients
- Ensure all food is consistently prepared and presented to high standards
- Manage stock, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Maintain high levels of hygiene, health, and safety compliance
- Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff (if applicable)
- Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
- Work closely with management to deliver an excellent customer experience
- £16 per hour
- Creative freedom to shape menus
- Work with quality local suppliers
