The Bird in Hand in North Curry, is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to take the lead in our kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a love for creating high-quality, locally sourced food in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a similar setting
  • Deep knowledge of British cuisine and seasonal ingredients
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
  • A team player with a passion for cooking and customer satisfaction
  • Must be able to commute this is a live-out role
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
  • Plan, develop, and deliver seasonal menus using fresh, local ingredients
  • Ensure all food is consistently prepared and presented to high standards
  • Manage stock, ordering, and supplier relationships
  • Maintain high levels of hygiene, health, and safety compliance
  • Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff (if applicable)
  • Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
  • Work closely with management to deliver an excellent customer experience
