Key Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Develop applications using object-oriented Java tools and methodologies.
• Customise and configure WC components and solutions.
• Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate to complex scope and complexity.
• Develop and document technical specifications at the javadoc and design/specification level.
• Manage code and utilize code management software.
• Utilize tools such as Rational Rose, Eclipse, Clearcase, and memory/performance analysis tools like NetBeans.
• Ensure the development projects effectively resolve business problems in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide guidance to development teams to design, build, test, and deliver applications.
• Provide appropriate training to team members.

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in application development tools.
• Strong knowledge of Java programming.
• Familiar with database software and operating infrastructure.
• Knowledge of IS infrastructure, including hardware, databases, operating systems, and local area networks.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) preferred.
• Familiar with Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB) standards.
• Rapid Application Development is a plus.
• Proven ability to work in a Test Driven Development manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server technology including Windows NT4, Windows 2000 & Windows 2003, Exchange 5.5, Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003, Active Directory, SQL Server, Terminal Server, and Citrix Server.
• Working knowledge of FTP, Telnet, Ping, DNS, DHCP, WINS, SNMP, HTTP, and LDAP.
