For a client of Eswelt, we are currently looking for a freelance SAP Security Consultant. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust SAP security and compliance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP Security implementations and drive technical solution architecture across the SAP landscape.
• Design and maintain roles, authorizations, SoD (Segregation of Duties) frameworks, and GRC Access Control configurations (AC, IAG, MSMP, BRF+).
• Conduct risk assessments and collaborate with internal risk teams to ensure compliance with SOx and other regulatory requirements.
• Support and maintain SAP security in system upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
• Analyze and troubleshoot authorization issues; perform trace analysis and risk mitigation.
• Act as a security SME in workshops, providing input on functional and technical role design.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to embed risk awareness and compliance into technical operations.

Your Profile

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Security, including major GRC implementations.
• Expertise in SAP GRC Access Control (AC), Identity Access Governance (IAG), and Single Sign-On.
• In-depth understanding of SAP authorization concepts, user/role administration, and SoD.
• Proven experience with SAP platforms: ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, BTP, SAC, BW/4HANA, HANA DB.
• Experience designing and implementing security in greenfield, brownfield, or conversion projects.
• Deep understanding of audit processes, risk libraries, and mitigation control frameworks.
• Experience in regulated environments and knowledge of compliance frameworks like SOx.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Starting date: ASAP.
Duration: 6 months, with the option to extend.
Hours per week: 40 hours.
Location: Netherlands/Europe based.
