Our client is a dynamic and innovative consultancy specialising in delivering high-quality Digital, Data, and Technology Services across Central Government and the wider Public Sector. They are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Delivery to join our team. The successful candidate will lead delivery efforts for our client portfolio, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex Digital and Technical (Softwaree Development and DevOps) projects and leading high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of multiple projects for our client, ensuring they meet expectations and adhere to quality standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of delivery managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement delivery strategies that align with the client's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Ensure compliance with Government Digital Service Standards and other relevant regulations.
- Drive innovation and best practices in delivery methodologies.
- Deliver multiple services across Central Government and the wider public sector.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a senior delivery role, preferably within the Digital, Data, and Technology sectors.
- Extensive experience in delivering User-Centered Design (UCD) and Software Development projects in Government, adhering to Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Government Digital Service Standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
- Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.
- Relevant certifications (eg, PMP, Scrum Master) are a plus.
Hybrid working with our clients office in North Surrey and client offices in London, Manchester and Newcastle.
