Technical Lead - 6 months - Inside IR35 - Hybrid

A skilled Technical Lead is required for a 6-month contract with a leading organisation, offering up to £450 per day (Inside IR35). This role follows a hybrid working model, requiring 2 days per week on-site in Stevenage, and comes with a view for extension.

The successful candidate will bring deep technical knowledge across infrastructure and data platforms, providing hands-on leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering robust, scalable solutions in a modern cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate with an agile mindset, supporting iterative delivery and cross-functional collaboration.

• Provide hands-on technical leadership in IT infrastructure initiatives.

• Work with Azure Infrastructure, including Azure VMs and data storage systems.

• Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based operating systems in complex environments.

• Lead installation and configuration of server-based applications on Linux.

• Support deployment and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.

• Administer and optimise Linux file shares and related services.

• Guide infrastructure integration with modern data platforms.

• Collaborate with development, data, and DevOps teams to ensure environment readiness.

• Maintain detailed technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Ideally Bring:

• Strong Scripting capabilities using Python.

• Experience with R for data analysis or automation tasks.

• Hands-on knowledge of Databricks for big data processing and analytics workflows.

• Exposure to the Domino data science platform for model life cycle management.

• Solid understanding of modern cloud-based and containerised environments.

• Experience supporting infrastructure needs for data-driven projects.

• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Track record of solving complex technical problems independently.

• Familiarity with secure, regulated environments is advantageous.

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative working style.
