SCADA (Defect Manager and TMO) - 6 months - Inside IR35 - Hybrid in Warwick

A leading global transformation consultancy is seeking an experienced Defect Manager/Test Management Office (TMO) Analyst for an initial 6-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension. The role falls inside IR35 and requires either active SC clearance or eligibility to obtain it. Based in Warwick, this position follows a hybrid working model, with 3 days per week on-site.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and mature the defect management function within a complex, large-scale SCADA transformation programme, ensuring quality and control across all testing phases. You will also support the wider testing function through structured reporting, coordination, and test governance within a secure, multi-disciplinary, and agile environment.

Key Requirements:

• Define, implement, and continuously improve the defect management process, ensuring compliance across multiple test phases (functional, non-functional, network, infrastructure).
• Lead structured defect triage sessions across various levels (eg, infrastructure, applications, Scrum teams), coordinating stakeholders and ensuring efficient prioritization and resolution.
• Oversee the full defect life cycle - from logging through resolution - ensuring defects meet quality standards, include proper evidence, and are tracked accurately.
• Produce clear, insightful defect metrics and test reports using JIRA, Excel, and Power BI to inform programme stakeholders and support risk-based decision-making.

What you will Ideally Bring:

• Extensive hands-on experience (5+ years) managing defects in large, complex transformation programmes, including defining defect processes.
• Skilled in working across cross-functional teams (technical, business, third-party vendors) with excellent coordination and communication abilities.
• Ability to facilitate effective triage sessions, assign severity and priority appropriately, and drive issues to resolution with a risk-focused approach.
• Proficient in JIRA and XRAY (including JQL), with the ability to generate defect dashboards and advanced reports using Excel and Power BI.

Contract Details:

• Duration: 6 months
• Location: 3x a week in Warwick
• Daily Rate: Up to £425 Per Day (Inside IR35)
