Your new company
Hays Technology are recruiting an Application Portfolio Manager on a permanent basis to join an expanding public sector organisation. This role can be worked remotely and is required to lead a team of 6 whilst reporting to the Head of Application and Development.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be leading a team of technical specialists working on business-critical applications to maintain and improve the quality and integrity of the data. You will be developing and leading an effective and motivated development team and will be responsible for overseeing a range of technical process and application development. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day priority setting and management of the team.

You will be improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the team by analysing any data, and developing the teams reporting including work tracking, incident reporting, and their mechanisms for prioritising work, amongst others. You will be developing and maintaining documentation, processes, and work instructions surrounding the function during a period of change and transformation.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience of Application Portfolio Management
  • Experience of leading a technical team including developers
  • Experience of SharePoint/Azure/Power BI and other Microsoft technologies would be ideal.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of designing, implementing, and managing system processes

What you'll get in return
This exciting position is paying between £51,000 and £62,500 negotiable on experience and offers an excellent work-life balance including: remote working, 25 days annual leave + public holidays, employer contribution pension scheme, flexibility, training, and development opportunities.
