SAP Project Systems (PS) Consultant - S/4HANA

Our client is seeking a seasoned SAP Project Systems (PS) Consultant to support, enhance, and optimize their SAP S/4HANA environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organization undergoing major transformation, where you'll be responsible for end- to- end SAP PS life cycle management- from structuring and budgeting to revenue recognition and settlement.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Results Analysis (RA), milestone billing, cost control, and project financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

SAP PS Configuration & Optimization

• Configure and maintain WBS structures, networks, activities, and project milestones.

• Define RA (Results Analysis) keys using POC and cost- based accounting methods.

• Manage cost planning, budgeting, availability control, and settlement processes.

• Ensure seamless integration between SAP PS and FI/CO, SD, P2P, and EWM modules.

Revenue Recognition & Cost Management

• Implement RA keys and settlement rules to support accurate revenue recognition.

• Set up milestone- based billing, revenue postings, and accrual processes.

• Track planned vs. actual costs and ensure financial transparency across projects.

• Define settlement rules for WBS elements, AUCs, internal orders, and more.

Financial Oversight & Budget Control

• Configure planned cost budgeting and actual cost monitoring for full financial oversight.

• Automate budget allocations and set validation and tolerance parameters.

• Work with Finance stakeholders to align SAP PS processes with IFRS- compliant accounting standards.

Reporting & Analytics

• Enhance reporting using CDS Views, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and Fiori- based dashboards.

• Improve visibility into project performance, budget utilization, forecasts, and risks.

• Strengthen data validation and master data governance for SAP PS objects.

Cross- Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement

• Partner with Finance, Procurement, and Business Operations to streamline project delivery.

• Lead process improvements around RA setup, project forecasting, and cost controls.

• Ensure alignment with global SAP governance frameworks and best practices.

Candidate Profile

Experience & Expertise

• 7+ years of hands- on experience in SAP Project Systems (PS), ideally in an S/4HANA landscape.

• Proven ability to manage revenue recognition (RA keys), cost- based accounting, and project settlements.

• Skilled in WBS structuring, cost object mapping, and cross- module integration.

• Familiarity with SAP FI/CO, SD, P2P, and EWM integration.

• SAP PS certification is an advantage.
