Deployment Engineer
Your new company and role
- Hays' client is a public sector organisation who are looking for a deployment engineer to assist in their Windows 11 deployment.
- Provide support and advice to staff in the operation of IT equipment.
- Assist in the procurement of IT resources.
- Assist with day-to-day operation of IT equipment owned by the authority.
- Triage and report, through service desk, issues supported by service desk resolver groups ie, enterprise solutions, infrastructure and security, providing second line support.
- Carry out installation of software and upgrades.
- Liaise with service users and peers to ascertain IT support requirements
- Provide advice to service users.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Teamwork: Work effectively in a team structure to support service delivery of technical field services.
- Work request management: Monitor, respond to, and actively manage work requests.
- Experience providing support and advice to staff in the operation of IT equipment.
- Operational support: Assist with the day-to-day operation of IT equipment owned by the authority.
- Maintenance and repair: Experience maintaining and repairing IT hardware equipment, escalating repairs as needed.
- Software installation: Experience carrying out software installations and upgrades.
- Clean driving licence
