C++ Developer
Location: Hounslow
Rate: £400 per day inside IR35
Duration: 12 months
Working model: Hybrid. 2 to 3 days per week on site
A renowned multinational technology client operating in the travel industry is looking for a C++ Developer to join their software development team for a minimum 12 months. Our client operates in over 100 countries and is a leading provider in travel technology and software.
Roles and responsibilities of this contract:
Software development on Open Back End. Working both independently and as part of a team, your key purpose is to solve complex problems and then analyse, design and deliver solutions.
You must have proven experience to show that you are willing and able to drive projects.
Key Deliverables:
1. Deliver Developments on time and within budget to customer satisfaction.
2. Identification of appropriate and effective solutions for assigned problems within Service.
3. Contribute to all phases of Change Requests raised.
4. Deliver Maintenance and Support to high customer service levels.
5. Produce appropriate technical documentation associated with projects.
6. Ensure full adherence to Amadeus and local standards (project cycle, process, documentation).
Skills
1. Excellent C++ skills and familiarity with C++ 11 (and above) standards.
2. Knowledge of Python 3 (any additional Scripting language would be considered a plus ie JavaScript, Typescript, etc.)
3. Knowledge in Linux/Unix environment.
4. Experience with version control system git (ie BitBucket, gitHub).
5. Cloud fundamentals (ie kubernetes, Docker, Helm) knowledge would be considered a plus.
6. Experience applying Object Oriented Concepts in design/solutions and development.
7. Some experience of SQL queries and RDBMS.
8. Able to work in an organised way when under pressure to ensure that Amadeus meets its commitment to deliverables or SLAs.
9. Commitment to standard procedures and documentation for the benefit of the team and the users: Full understanding of Project Life Cycle and deliverables.
Industry Knowledge
1. Good exposure to relevant project work
2. Preferably knowledge of other airline systems, eg Reservations, Ticketing, Inventory
3. Experience in dealing with large, complicated and mission critical systems
Education:
Degree or equivalent in computer science or related subject
