Release Train Manager

Hybrid Working - Edinburgh or Manchester - 1 day a week on site.

Lorien's leading banking client is looking for a Release Train Manager to join them, this role will be Managing the delivery of multiple streaming/Real Time data deliveries, typically driven by Real Time communication use cases (app notifications, SMS and E-mail) or operational dashboards/reporting.

You will be Managing a Feature Team of ~10 individuals (analysts, engineers, testers), ideally with Tech Delivery experience.

This role is based in Edinburgh or Manchester.

This role will be Via Umbrella.

Working in a Hybrid Model of 1 day a week on site.

Key Skills and Experience

• Experienced in managing the delivery of multiple cross function tech/data projects in large organisations, including planning, RAID management and Agile Release Train sync (preferred).
• Strong stakeholder management.
• Change management/governance experience (security assessments, operational readiness, change requests, impact assessments etc).
• Co-ordination and completion of delivery estimates.
• Agile methodology, Jira, PI Planning, Agile ceremonies etc.
• Proactively looks for opportunities to reduce timescales, challenging where necessary.
• Takes ownership of blockers/issue resolution and escalating where necessary.

Technology:

Delivery experience involving any of the below technologies would be preferred or alternative data streaming/near Real Time technology:

• Kafka
• MongoDB
• Stream Sets
• AWS Hosted Environments and Services (EMR, S3)
• Snowflake
• IBM CDC
• Hermes
