Head of People and Culture

Are you ready to lead a dynamic People and Culture team? Our client, a forward-thinking organisation, is seeking a passionate and innovative Head of People and Culture to inspire and elevate the employee experience at every level.

  • Salary: £65,000 + £3,500 Car Allowance
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Reporting to: Executive Director of Data & Information
  • Managing: People & OD Team

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership
* Provide visionary leadership on all people-related issues.
* Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to align plans with the organisation's goals.
* Develop and implement the People & Culture Strategy, with regular progress monitoring.

Talent Acquisition, Management, and Retention:
* Partner with hiring managers to define talent needs and recruitment strategies.
* Build and maintain effective talent pipelines aligned with succession plans.
* Design and implement innovative learning programmes and a mentoring framework.

Learning & organisational Development:
* Champion a high-performance culture and facilitate a collaborative environment.
* Promote a blended approach to learning, coaching, and mentoring.

Performance Management:
* Embed a performance management culture with tools and guidance for goal setting.
* Support managers in identifying and addressing performance development issues.

Compliance, Governance, and Risk Management:
* Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
* Oversee complex employee relations issues and provide guidance to leadership teams.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI):
* Champion EDI initiatives, integrating them into all organisational activities.
* Develop and deliver a robust EDI Strategy with the EDI champions network.

What You Bring:
* Significant experience as an HR professional with proven growth in challenging roles.
* Expertise in complex ER case management and a strong knowledge of employment law.
* Experience in leading HR and/or organisational Development teams through significant change.
* A strategic mindset with experience in cultural change programmes and best people practises.
* Proficiency in data analytics related to People and Culture to inform decision-making.
* Excellent presentation, speaking, and facilitation skills.
* Exceptional leadership and motivational skills
