We are seeking an experienced freelance UX/UI Designer with recent expertise in the Insurance sector to join our team remotely for a London-based client in the Financial Services industry. The role focuses on developing a new Claims platform, and the ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing intuitive and engaging user experiences for web applications, with a particular emphasis on recent Insurance sector projects, ideally in claims management. You will collaborate with business users, product owners, and Front End developers to design user-centric solutions that are accessible, credible, and productive.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, user experience, and interaction design.

Conduct user research and evaluate feedback to inform design decisions and create user personas, with a focus on Insurance sector users.

Develop wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas effectively.

Conceptualize solutions that simplify complex design challenges, ensuring user-friendliness in the context of Insurance claims platforms.

Present deliverables to stakeholders and iteratively refine designs throughout the project life cycle.

Work with product and solution owners to collect and evaluate user requirements specific to the Insurance industry.

Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards aligned with in-house design systems.

Support visual design stages as needed, ensuring consistency with established UI components and design systems tailored to Insurance applications.
Requirements

5+ years of proven experience as a UX Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating recent web application design in the Insurance sector, particularly in claims management.

Expert proficiency in Figma (mandatory).

Advanced skills in Design Systems & UI Components (mandatory).

Expertise in Customer Journey Mapping (mandatory).

Strong experience in User Research & Personas (important).

Fluent English (mandatory, both written and verbal).

Recent and demonstrable experience in the Insurance sector, with a strong preference for expertise in claims-related projects.

Excellent UX design skills with a focus on user-system interaction in Insurance applications.

Strong presentation skills to communicate designs and solutions to diverse stakeholders.

Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing design challenges in the Insurance domain.

Up-to-date knowledge of the latest UX trends, techniques, and technologies, particularly those relevant to the Insurance industry.

Qualifications or accreditations in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field.
