Job Title: Senior Project manager
Location: Newcastle (onsite)
Contract: 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £70-£75k DOE

The role of Senior Project Manager
Our client, who is a global real estate company, who has a presence in over 70 countries, has an exciting new opening for a Senior Project Manager to join their team on a fixed term contract basis. Projects will encompass both newbuild and refurbishment of offices and labs in a live environment. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the projects until completion, based in the Newcastle area.

Key Responsibilities

  • ensuring successful delivery within time, budget, and quality parameters
  • develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are met
  • implement and oversee effective project governance, processes, and systems throughout the project life cycle
  • conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues
  • monitor project finances and manage the change control process
  • facilitate clear communication among team members and stakeholders through regular meetings and written reports
  • ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential clients
  • mentor and guide junior project managers to foster their professional development

About You

  • demonstrable experience in managing large-scale construction projects newbuild and refurb
  • proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget
  • strong knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and industry best practices
  • proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera
  • excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • experience in a consultancy environment is preferred
