Our client are a top tier consultancy looking for Scala Developers on a 12 months contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build Back End services using Scala and the Play Framework

• Leverage Cats and other Typelevel libraries to implement functional, modular, and testable code

• Develop and maintain APIs and microservices

• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to deploy and monitor services in AWS

• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies

• Ensure high code quality through testing and automation (unit, integration, etc.)

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Essential Skills:

• Strong commercial experience with Scala

• Proficiency with Cats, Play Framework, and functional programming principles

• Experience deploying and running applications on AWS

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native design

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
