Looking for Experienced DITA Specialist

We are seeking an experienced DITA professional for a consultant assignment focused on publishing DITA content in PDF format.

The role emphasizes stylesheet development and maintenance, as well as technical management of the publishing process using the DITA Open Toolkit.

Role description:

• Develop and maintain XSL-FO and CSS stylesheets
• Manage PDF output generation from DITA content using DITA Open Toolkit
• Develop and maintain publishing pipelines using ANT
• Collaborate closely with technical writers and the publishing team
• Optionally contribute to HTML output development

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with DITA standard implementation
• Solid knowledge of the DITA Open Toolkit
• In-depth expertise in the following technologies:
• XSLT and XSL-FO
• CSS for styling
• ANT build tool
• HTML and XML
• XPath knowledge is considered a plus

Additional assets:

• Experience with multi-channel publishing
• Understanding of technical documentation processes
• Ability to work independently and in a consultative role within a client environment

Location:

This role can be worked remotely from home anywhere in the EU.

Contract:

Initial contract is for 6 months and workload will be approximately 50% so will suit someone who is interested in part time or has part time capacity.
