  • Milton Keynes - onsite 3 days a week
  • 6 month contract

My client is looking for a Finance Manager who specialises in Pensions Accounts. You will be working for and supporting the Head of pension risk, the role holder is responsible for, managing and coordinating all activities and procedures relating to the successful operation, financial management and reporting and risk management of the Company's defined benefit pension scheme.

Key accountabilities

  • Reviewing and enhancing the pensions control framework to ensure alignment with audit expectations
  • Reviewing and enhancing the pensions models to ensure alignment with audit expectations
  • Work on the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of the actual Pension accounting and risk information including annual report disclosures.
  • Support Director of Pensions and Head of Pension risk in preparation, documentation and attendance for the clients statutory and non-statutory committees eg Pension Risk Forum, Pensions Committee, ALCO, CF Trustee meetings
  • Preparation of pension information for strategic planning purposes (eg P21, ICAAP, stress testing)
  • Prepare the scheme costs budget working alongside the trustee scheme function. Monitor performance of actuals against budget.
  • Engage in the day to day relationship with professional advisors. This will include work on the triennial actuarial valuations and audit exercises.
  • Coordination of the annual review of pensions actuarial assumptions including assessing and
  • recommending any changes to assumptions.
  • Work with key stakeholders in finance, capital management, scheme trustee and structural risk
  • Input into preparing and implementing the Schemes forward looking Business Plans from a Company perspective.

Key Skills and Experiences

  • Solid experience as a Finance Manager
  • Experience supporting Pensions Accounts
  • Experience working in the Financial Services Sector
