Job Description

A globally active and prominent clearing organization is seeking for an IT Service Continuity Expert to be responsible for the overall IT Service Continuity management process. The company provides execution, clearing, settlement, custody and financing services for various financial products.

The IT organization is responsible for the availability of IT systems for clients and employees. This includes maintaining service quality, making business information available, designing solutions, and ensuring timely resolution of disruptions and incidents. The IT organization is also responsible for Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure.

Role:

You will be responsible for the overall IT Service Continuity management process. The scope is global and encompasses all on-premise IT Infrastructure and the full application landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help to create and maintain the Service Continuity and Risk documentation
  • Liaise with Technical Architects and Service Delivery Managers
  • Develop and deliver a Service Continuity annual exercise schedule
  • Work closely with the dev/ops teams to ensure exercises are performed on time and with the desired quality and outcome (eg, RTO/RPO)
  • Identify and govern ITSC related risks, and maintain visibility and awareness of related Risks, Issues, and Improvements
  • Provide support for the Major Incident process in the context of ITSCM
  • Produce periodic reports upon request, monitoring the health of IT Disaster Recovery/failover services, and identifying issues and remediation activities
  • Own and maintain the IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) Process and Plan
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Execute recovery exercises according to the published annual exercise schedule
  • Ensure Service Providers adhere to the annual exercise schedule
  • Ensure the organization's IT resilience capability aligns with Business Resilience requirements
  • Assure and participate in end-to-end testing for Service Continuity exercises
  • Schedule risk reviews, obtain current risk status and mitigation tasks with Risk Owners
  • Manage and raise risks where a service risk has been identified

Relevant Knowledge, Skills, Competencies & Desired Education Level:

  • Ability to assimilate information quickly, clearly identify key risks and gaps, issues, and present information concisely
  • Ability to lead IT and business organizations to a higher maturity level in IT Service Continuity
  • Proven track record in IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) with demonstrated experience in an ITSCM function, operating an assurance/risk-based managed ITSCM process and exercises
  • Good understanding of IT Infrastructure and high availability architectures
  • Good understanding of Risk Management concepts and working practices
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing, applying, and governing IT Service Continuity Management standards and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels and with suppliers
  • Fluent in English
