My Client in Merseyside is looking for a Lead Platform/Dev Ops Engineer for an initial 3-month contract (with strong possibility of extensions).

The role will be 80/20 hands on/hands off split with leadership/mentoring responsibilities to a small team of Junior Platform Engineers. The client will be looking for someone who is able to perform the following:

• Effective in providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Collaborative mindset, with a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.
• Ability to drive best practices in platform engineering and influence technical decisions.

They are looking for someone with the following technical experience (you should be able to display that you have had strong commercial experience in these areas):

• Azure
• App services
• Front Door
• Logic Apps
• ServiceBus
• SQL Server
• Certs
• DNS
• IAC - We use Bicep
• Azure Devops YAML Pipelines/CICD
• Monitoring/Logging/Alerts etc

The role will be predominantly remote with occasional "needs must" site visits (this may average out at circa 1 x a month)

The role is outside IR35 with a rate of £450 a day.
