Role: Chargeback Solution Architect
Location: Northampton/Hybrid
Duration: until end of December
Pay-rate: £402 per day Inside IR35
Job Description:
"A Chargeback SME/Architect role likely involves in-depth knowledge of chargeback regulations, dispute resolution processes, and fraud prevention. The role would require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. The Architect would design and develop solutions to handle chargeback disputes within the bank's systems, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and business value.
Key Responsibilities:
Chargeback Expertise:
In-depth understanding of chargeback regulations, dispute codes, and the chargeback process for both card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) and Barclays.
Analytical Skills:
Analyzing chargebacks, identifying trends, and developing strategies to minimize future chargebacks.
Design and implement solutions:
Develop systems and processes for handling chargeback disputes, including data analysis, risk assessment, and workflow automation.
Technology expertise:
Utilize programming languages (like Java), databases, and cloud platforms (like AWS) to build scalable and secure solutions.
Compliance and governance:
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, security standards, and internal governance processes.
Stakeholder management:
Collaborate with business teams, technical teams, and vendors to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Problem-solving:
Analyze issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions to resolve chargeback disputes.
Performance monitoring and optimization:
Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize solutions for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Skills and Experience:
Strong technical skills: Proficiency in programming, database management, and cloud platforms.
Financial industry knowledge: Experience with payments, banking, and chargeback processes.
Cloud computing experience: Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Project management skills: Ability to manage projects, timelines, and budgets.
Communication and collaboration skills: Effective communication with stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify issues, and develop solutions.
