Senior Network Consultant - 6 months - Canary Wharf - Long-term Programme

We're seeking a Senior Network Consultant with proven expertise in the designing, implementing, and deploying enterprise-grade network solutions. This contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in low latency, high-performance environments, and has deep experience in data centre networking using Arista technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and deployment of modern data centre networks, focusing on scalability, performance, and low latency.
• Deliver full life cycle consultancy across routing, switching, and SDN-based architectures.
• Define and implement high-level and low-level designs in Spine & Leaf environments.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver resilient and future-ready network infrastructures.
• Leverage Software Defined Networking approaches to increase network automation, flexibility, and efficiency:
• Design and support SDN-based network solutions
• Drive SDN adoption strategies and integration with Legacy systems
• Implement controller-based networking and policy-driven configurations
• Configure and optimize routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and EVPN.
• Engineer Multicast networking solutions tailored for latency-sensitive platforms.

Core Technical Skills:

• Arista/Cisco Routing & Switching (Essential)
• Strong background in Software Defined Networking (SDN)
• Experience in Low Latency network environments
• Advanced knowledge of Multicast, BGP, OSPF, and EVPN
• Proficient with Spine & Leaf Topology architectures
• Deep understanding of Data Centre Networking best practices

Contract Details:

Location: Canary Wharf (2 days on-site per week)
Contract Duration: 6 months
Start Date: ASAP
Day Rate: £500 Per Day (Inside IR35)
