Security Engineer - 6 months - Hybrid (Multiple Locations) - Inside IR35

Hamilton Barnes is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join a leading financial institutions dynamic team on a 6-month rolling contract, with a strong possibility of extension. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile security transformation programme, contributing to securing cloud environments for a globally recognised brand.

This role requires 2 days per week onsite at one of the client's offices in Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh, or Halifax, offering a collaborative and impactful environment with access to cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Cyber Security designs, strategies, and security patterns for cloud environments, focusing on a multi-cloud environment.
• Create Engineering Guardrails to guide security control users in implementing security measures that align with use cases across platforms.
• Document engineering patterns, detailing specific steps for implementing security controls on various technologies and environments.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering Leads to identify security use cases and create tailored engineering patterns.
• Lead user acceptance testing to ensure engineering patterns meet the needs of the security team.
• Ensure all security measures comply with industry security guidelines such as ISO 27001, ensuring best practices for data protection and risk management.
• Ensure governance and compliance for all engineering patterns with the LBG GSRA and AccSec teams.

What you will ideally bring:

• Proven experience as a Security Engineer, particularly within multi-cloud security practices.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, encryption, and access management policies for cloud environments.
• Experience developing Engineering Guardrails and Patterns for security controls.
• Ability to facilitate user acceptance testing and work collaboratively across teams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to guide and influence decision-making.

Contract Details:

• Duration: 6 months (View for Extension)
• Location: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite in Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh, or Halifax)
• Daily Rate: Up to £550 Per Day (Inside IR35)
• Start Date: ASAP
