Platform Solution Architect, GCP, Banking, 6months +

My client, a leading bank, is searching for a GCP platform Solution architect to join on an initial 6 month contract. You will help to drive enterprise-scale engineering transformation and re architect client monoliths into highly robust, scalable microservices-based digital platforms.

You will be the technical expert across software design and architecture, bringing with you high engineering standards, leadership and motivational skills. This will be inside IR35, Hybrid London - 3 days a week and ideally you will have a finance/Banking background.

The GCP Platform Solution Architect will ideally have the following skills:-

• Extensive experience in defining end-to-end enterprise architecture
• Experience in leading large-scale, complex, and distributed applications development of Cloud-native solutions using GCP
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of software design/architectural concepts like Event-driven Architecture, Microservices, Domain-driven design, SOLID, DRY, SoC, etc.
• Software development background of large-scale distributed systems with exposure to multiple languages (like Java, C#, Go, Scala, Python etc.)
• Containers and building container-based platforms using GKE
• DevOps/automation experience (CI, CD, Observability, Aggregated Logging & Engineering Metrics)
