Cyber Security Analyst - Microsoft Sentinel Specialist

North London Local Authority | £650/day (Inside IR35) | 3 Month Contract | Full-Time | 2 Days Onsite per Week

A North London local authority is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst for an initial three month contract, supporting the enhancement of their cyber security estate with a focus on Microsoft Sentinel.

This role is instrumental in driving the adoption and optimisation of Sentinel, integrating it with other systems and embedding AI driven automation to improve incident response capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the integration and full adoption of Microsoft Sentinel across the organisation.

• Build a cohesive security infrastructure by connecting Sentinel with other security platforms.

• Implement AI and automation to accelerate responses to common threats and incidents.

• Provide expert guidance on security monitoring, log analysis, and incident response best practices.

• Deliver training and upskilling to permanent staff on Sentinel's use and functionality.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Significant experience in cyber security, particularly with Microsoft Sentinel and SIEM tools.

• Strong understanding of log management, threat detection, and Sentinel's integration capabilities.

• Proficiency in using AI and automation to streamline security operations and incident handling.

• Proven ability to design and execute effective incident response strategies.

• Confidence in delivering training and communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Collaborative mindset and experience working across teams to enhance security maturity.
