About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Architect Owner (AWS Cloud and Data) to lead the design, development, and governance of our cloud-native data platforms and services. This role is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction of our AWS infrastructure and data architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across our cloud ecosystem.
As a senior technical leader, you will collaborate across engineering, data science, DevOps, and business teams to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Own the architectural vision for AWS cloud and data solutions, aligning with business and technical strategy.
Design and govern enterprise-grade cloud-native architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and Real Time analytics pipelines.
Define and maintain architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for cloud, data, and infrastructure.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and resilient cloud/data solutions.
Lead technical design reviews, architecture assessments, and roadmap planning.
Guide and mentor engineering teams in implementing architectural solutions using AWS services and modern data platforms.
Ensure security, compliance, and governance are Embedded across cloud and data solutions.
Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and emerging technologies for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, data engineering, or solution architecture roles.
Deep expertise in AWS services, particularly around compute (EC2, Lambda), storage (S3, Glacier), networking (VPC), databases (RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift), analytics (Athena, Glue, EMR), and security (IAM, KMS).
Strong background in data architecture, including data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance.
Proven experience designing scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure data platforms.
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (eg, Terraform, CloudFormation).
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (eg, Docker, ECS, EKS).
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or similar certifications.
Experience with modern data stack tools (eg, dbt, Snowflake, Airflow, Kafka).
Exposure to machine learning pipelines or MLOps platforms.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (eg, GDPR, HIPAA) and their impact on data architectures.
