Platform BTP, Gardner, IAS Development Engineer

University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

6+ years of technical professional experience

In-depth knowledge of hyperscalers like AWS required

Expertise in SAP Converged Cloud (Open Stack) is a major plus

Understanding of deployment automation and the tools eg Ansible, Chef

Experience with Infrastructure as Code - Terraform preferred

Experience with CI/CD pipelines eg ArgoCD (preferred), GitLab CI/CD (preferred), Jenkins

Experience with Monitoring eg Dynatrace, CloudWatch

Experience with Logging eg Splunk (preferred), Elasticsearch, Logstash

Experience with Cloud Networking tools eg AWS VPCs (preferred), VNet, Google VPC

In-depth experience in technologies used for deploying and managing Cloud-native applications:

o Container Orchestration tools eg Gardener (preferred), Kubernetes, Docker

o Helm charts

o Repository management eg Artifactory (preferred), JFrog (preferred)

o Service management tools eg Consul (preferred), Zookeeper

Familiarity with GitLab and/or GitHub

Scripting background eg PowerShell, Python (preferred)

Security best practices including hardened containers and images (STIG)

Experience with Security tools eg Hashicorp Vault (preferred), GitHub Secrets

Database knowledge like SAP HANA

Expertise with OS eg Linux, RHEL

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Knowledge of SAP and the SAP solution portfolio is a plus
