Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support the delivery and optimisation of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions within UK policing. This role plays a key part in ensuring the effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement of RPA deployments across various forces, driving automation efficiency's and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure RPA solutions meet defined quality and performance standards throughout their life cycle.
  • Collaborate with software programmers, systems consultants, and project managers to define test strategies, quality frameworks, and validation procedures.
  • Conduct quality audits, process evaluations, and root cause analyses to improve automation reliability and efficiency.
  • Support specialist teams with the integration and ongoing quality assurance of RPA tools across multiple police forces.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure alignment with national compliance and security standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in quality engineering or assurance, preferably in automation or digital transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with RPA technologies (eg, UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere).
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, process improvement, and quality frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in or alongside public sector or law enforcement agencies is desirable.
