IT MANAGER - IMMEDIATE START - (12 MONTHS FTC)

Salary: £60,000
Location: Blackburn (on-site with some element of hybrid working)

What you'll do:

As an IT Manager in this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing the management and support of our IT systems across the business. Your strong technical knowledge across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Intune, networking along with your leadership skills will be key in driving forward digital initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will also manage relationships with both UK-based and international Managed Service Providers (MSPs), ensuring consistent service delivery.

. Lead, manage, and support the day-to-day operations of the IT function across the UK site.
. Maintain and optimise the company's IT infrastructure, including Servers, networks, security systems, and endpoints.
. Administer and support Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Teams.
. Manage device life cycle and security policies through Microsoft Intune.
. Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of the company's systems and data.
. Collaborate with and manage UK-based and international Managed Service Providers (MSPs), ensuring effective service delivery and issue resolution.
. Coordinate with global IT teams and external vendors to implement and support corporate systems.
. Identify opportunities for improvement through digital solutions and automation.
. Provide first-line support and escalate issues where necessary.
. Develop IT documentation, policies, and procedures in line with best practices and compliance requirements.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this IT Manager role will bring proven experience from a similar position or senior IT support role. You will have strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint administration), Intune, networking (LAN/WAN, Switches, Firewalls). Your ability to manage projects effectively while liaising with stakeholders will be crucial as you translate business needs into technical solutions. Your excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure will be key in this role.

. Proven experience in a similar IT Manager or senior IT support role.
. Strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint administration), Intune, networking (LAN/WAN, Switches, Firewalls).
. Experience managing MSPs (both UK and internationally) with a focus on SLA adherence and performance.
. Ability to manage projects, liaise with stakeholders, translate business needs into technical solutions.
. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
