I am currently working with a leading international client that are seeking an Azure Infra Engineer/Azure Devops Engineer.
Reference: Azure Project Provisioning Automation: Automating Azure project provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Azure Verified Modules (AVM) and Bicep while ensuring governance, security (Entra ID), pipeline approval gates, quota management, and dedicated managed identities.
- Define Workloads for Easy Migration
- Objective: Identify and prioritize workloads that can be quickly and easily migrated to private endpoint usage.
- Tasks:
- Audit existing workloads to determine compatibility with private endpoints.
- Categorize workloads based on ease of migration.
- Select one or two pilot workloads for migration
- Develop/Modify Azure DevOps Pipeline Orchestration
- Objective: Update Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines to support the migration of selected workloads.
- Tasks:
- Review existing ADO pipelines for necessary modifications.
- Implement changes or create new pipelines to support private endpoint integration.
- Test and validate the updated pipelines.
- Migrate Selected Workloads to Private Endpoints
- Objective: Execute the migration plan for the prioritized workloads.
- Tasks:
- Migrate workloads to use private endpoints.
- Validate functionality and performance post-migration.
- Monitor and troubleshoot any issues.
- Optimize and Document Migration Process
- Objective: Ensure the migration process is efficient and well-documented for future reference.
- Tasks:
- Optimize the migration steps based on initial feedback.
- Document the migration process and lessons learned.
- Onboard relevant teams on the new setup and best practices.
- Create a migration schedule for the identified workloads (point 2)
- Expand Migration to Remaining Workloads
- Objective: Continue the migration process for remaining workloads.
- Tasks:
- Repeat the migration steps for additional workloads.
- Ensure all workloads are transitioned to private endpoints.
- Perform final validation and optimization.
