Information Security Engineer required for a thriving automation company in the insurtech space who are continuing to scale. This is a newly created standalone role within the DevOps and Security Team, reporting to the CTO.

We are looking for an experienced Information Security Engineer who is passionate about safeguarding systems and data, implementing security measures, and responding to incidents. As they operate in the insurance space, the company has a mature compliance environment (ISO certified and they have Cyber Essentials+). You will be leading on the company's information security initiatives, focusing on areas such as access control, vendor relations, risk management, and technical policy writing. This role is hybrid as you will also be providing guidance and training to employees on security best practices - so please do not apply if you are unwilling to be on-site 3-days per week in London.

Information Security Engineer requirements:

• Previous experience in a start up or scale up setting
• Proven experience in a similar security-focused role, within a regulated environment
• In-depth understanding of cloud-native security on AWS
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization
• Experience with security tools and technologies (eg, Firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM)
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards such as GDPR, Cyber Essentials+, ISO/IEC 27001
