Location: Remote (UK or US)
Working Hours: US East Coast Time (offset patterns such as 10am-7.30pm likely acceptable)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 30 June 2026 but likely to extend

We're looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Development Engineer with a strong focus on reliability engineering to support the delivery of highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure in a complex, global technology environment. This is a key opportunity to join a team driving the performance and stability of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement resilient infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and cloud-native tooling

Drive system reliability through automation, monitoring, and performance tuning

Troubleshoot infrastructure and authentication issues in production environments
-
Contribute to architecture design with a focus on uptime and service continuity

Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, standards, and procedures
-
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers where needed
-
Take part in shaping engineering practices with a focus on quality and operational excellence
Essential Skills & Experience:

University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
-
6+ years of technical experience in infrastructure or site reliability engineering
-
Deep knowledge of Linux systems and cloud environments (OpenStack a plus)
-
Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, GitLab, and CI/CD tooling
-
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
-
Strong written documentation and interpersonal communication skills
-
Experience working across global teams and time zones
-
Able to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and collaborate effectively
-
Fluency in English is required; German is a plus
-
Familiarity with SAP systems and environments is advantageous but not essential
